Credit Cards accepted!

UPDATE on 2014-07-02: buying ningos are a thing from the past – in come real currencies!

A new feature was rolled out today: Ningos can now be purchased with credit cards directly.

The most awesome credit card processor, stripe, has gone into beta for Switzerland at the right time for ningo.me:

The features relevant to the ningo.me platform:

  • Users can purchase ningos with their credit cards.
  • All credit card data is handled securely, and compliant with the very demanding PCI DSS requirements.
  • Still, ningo.me can re-use the credit card data and re-charge the same card. This results in an iTunes-like convenient repeat purchasing experience.
  • A user can have multiple credit cards.
  • ningo.me reduces its independence on the erratic PayPal service.
  • The fee structure is cristal clear and can be communicated to the user.
  • The entire purchasing process stays on ningo.me (as opposed to PayPal, where it is redirected to their site).

All this is perfectly timed with the sad news about the latest PayPal news that they will shut down their “credit card only” feature:

In order for us to be able to provide you with the highest level of security, PayPal customers have to register with us. For this reason, we are soon going to stop offering the ‘PayPal account not required’ option.

So: go ahead and buy some more ningos! Let us know what you think!
